Learning with Baby T

Today I went over and took pictures of Baby T. The most precious 3 month old, so talkative and content. It's amazing how much I learn from photoshoots. DOF came up (of course....me and DOF) and there were moments during the shoot that I wished H could've been at my side...or a call away!
However, overall, it was a great experience. I learned about dof, how much I love natural lighting and can't stand my flash (I used it for one picture and it was ruined), I learned about really needing to make a connection with a client or I just don't think the pictures will turn out as well. And most of all I learned, I still need lots and lots of practice! I went in so nervous and without expectations, and left feeling like I had captured some great moments of a precious baby boy.

I love that you're learnign on the fly, Rebecca. lessons learned in the trench make a far bigger impression that lessons learned in the classroom. And - you did well!

(Don't hate flash too much - sometimes they can be fun... lol)
